Square is a payments-first platform: card processing, point of sale, appointments, invoices and an online store, all funded by a per-transaction rate. It is well built and widely used — but Square sells to merchants in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, France, Spain and Japan. Indonesia is not on that list, so an Indonesian business cannot open a Square account or take payments through it. The honest verdict
This is not a close comparison, because it is not a real choice. Square is a well-executed payments-and-software bundle for merchants in eight countries, and if you operate in one of them it deserves a serious look. If you operate in Indonesia, you cannot buy it. The practical question for an Indonesian business is which locally available tool covers POS, bookings, customer conversations and books in one place, bills in Rupiah, and issues a faktur pajak — which is the ground Renr is built on.
